Life Christian Center Harvest Party

The highlight of every fall season is the fun harvest party at church. There are many stations with games and chances to earn tickets which the kids cash in for prizes at the end of the night.

Plus at the end of the night every child gets a big bag of assorted candy to take home! Yum! Lots of candy without the door to door! Greg went as a photographer LOL, and Debra went as ----- well see my costume?

Sarah's Harvest Party at School!

Sarah was a snow angel and mommy wore a matching outfit so we were both snow angels at her preschool party. It was fun - but I have to say - exhausting! My goodness I dont know how

Those teachers keep up with these little ones!

Harvest Parties at School

Well, the kids did the harvest party thing and mommy found some neat outfits in the closets and at thrift stores. Hannah was an angel using a dance outfit and some of mommys props, and Nathaniel was a fireman at school and spiderman at the party at church that night.

Faith dressed as a ballerina ( you will see her in pictures for the harvest party at night) and Kaela dressed as Pipi Longstocking.

Look at the picture closely to see Kaela put wire and chopsticks in her braids to make them stand out! She really did a great job.

6th Grade Skate Party!

So Kaela is now in 6th grade. Oh my goodness. The last grade before middle school. And around harvest they have a big party at the skate rink instead of those harvest parties at school. So dad went to take pictures (of course) and they had a blast! Here is Kaela with Marissa on the left and Jordyne on the right.

Field Trip to the American Royale!

Nathaniels Class went to the American Royale and saw real cowboys and roping and sheep and WHEW! It was cool! Daddy went with so he could take some pictures - he trys to tag along to all of the field trips because its so fun to spend time with the kids and be involved in what they are doing. Plus its so hard to describe a field trip after the fact! This way we have a first hand explaination of the days fun!

Nathaniels Patricia Stevens Model Shoot!

My son is truly beautiful. Okay so I know I am bias- but he is cute! Nathaniel got his turn at Patricia Stevens this month and did a great job. He was a good helper and is quite photogenic!

Awards Assembly At Trailridge

Here is Hannah getting awards for both reading and math with the MAP testing! This is the first year they gave awards and all three of our kids got awards for both Reading and Math!
Here is Faith with mommy and her awards!

And Kaela - we were all CRAMMED into the 6th grade rooms because thy had thiers in there instead of the auditorium and Kaela got the Math and Reading award and several others. She did great!
Nathaniel also got an award at school for responsibility. We are so proud of him!

Nathaniel Karate "MAN"

Nathaniel has really progressed with Karate. We are so proud of him and have seen some incredible leadership skills. Here he is sparring and using his big sticks (well thats what mommy calls them) I think they are called Bong Mongies.

Pumkin Patch Field Trip - Appletree Preschool!

Sarah takes the coolest field trips! This one was to the Pumkin Patch. Daddy goes on every field trip so he can hang out with Sarah and take fun pictures. And she really knows how to pose!

Octoberfest - Downtown Lees Summit

Every year Lees Summit has the Octoberfest - a fun carnival downtown where there are games, rides, food, arts and crafts, things for sale, and vendor booths. Life Christian Center has a great booth where they make animal ballons and give them out to all the kids. Greg went down for a spell to take som pictures of the booth.
And here is Pastor Bill - if it has anything to do with kids - he is involved! He LOVES children!

And Pastor Laurie - It takes a special kind of person who can dress up as a clown and still look classy!

Park Play!

The kids had a fun day at the park, and daddy praticed using fill flash "just enough" as I teach in my class. Its tough to get just right, where there are no noticable shadows, but light in the eyes.

Sarah of course is the perfect subject.

September Brings SOCCER!

Faith Loves Soccer - and she's really pretty good at it!

Kaela and The Crud Wars! Life Christian Center

The crud wars was an opportunity for the youth to throw all sorts of "crud" at each other for no particular reason. Shaving cream, oatmeal - you name it! They had so much fun! Greg got some good shots too.

Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency Shoot - Hannah

So Melissa at the Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency is generous enough to allow me to occasionally bring a model when I go and do her shoots for her. This time I brought Hannah along. Melissa did her hair and make up and darn it if she isnt a natural!
